Our Classes
At BPDC, Our dance classes cater to students of all skill levels, focusing on building confidence and having fun.

We offer a diverse range of BTDA classes including Acro, Ballet, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre, as well as Commercial Pop and Adult Classes.

Students have the opportunity to take BTDA examinations once they have reached the required standard. Our teachers will assess students before entering them for exams. However, examinations are optional, and students can advance to the next level once they have achieved the necessary skills.

Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. All BPDC Ballet classes are fun, no pressure ballet lessons with the emphasis on enjoying the class and learning new things. Pupils are given the opportunity to enter BTDA examinations when the required standard has been achieved and will be assessed before entering, however examinations are not compulsory.
Lyrical
This class is a fusion of ballet, jazz and contemporary. Flowing, graceful, emotional and inspirational, learn to develop strength and flexibility as well as a new style.
This class is suitable for all abilities but some experience with ballet and jazz is welcomed.
Pupils are given the opportunity to enter BTDA examinations when the required standard has been achieved and will be assessed before entering, however examinations are not compulsory and pupils may move on to the next level if we feel they are ready.
Musical Theatre
Love to sing, act and dance? why not combine all 3! In our musical theatre classes students work on all 3 of these skills as well as exploring different musical styles throughout the term.

Pupils are given the opportunity to enter for BTDA examinations, however examinations are not compulsory and pupils may move on to the next level when the required standard has been achieved.
Commercial Pop
Our pop class combine moves from jazz, modern, commercial and street dance with some technique elements to make sure students are gaining new skills and growing as a performer.

Learn routines to the latest chart music in a friendly and positive environment.
Acro
A physically demanding dance form derived from acrobatic traditions of entertainment. This discipline places an emphasis on athleticism, agility, strength, control and balance, in order to ensure graceful and apparently effortless movement and sculptural representation.
As a form it uses transitions in body shape to express feelings and emotions by exercising control over space and movement.
Here at BPDC we follow Acrotrix and BTDA programmes of study.
Adult Classes
Our Adult Ballet and Lyrical classes are friendly, supportive, and open to all – whether you're starting fresh or returning to dance.
